Vale : Peter Harkness
Uni Blues mourns the passing of 1952 Premiership Player and gifted Inter-University footballer, Peter Harkness.
Peter played with the Blues between 1952 and 1955 and clocked up 68 games. Peter was a key member of the clubs inaugural A Grade premiership team in 1952 along with other notables in Geoff Sinclair, Duncan Anderson, David Yoffa and Geoff Tunbridge.

During his illustrious career he was a regular Intervasity player and was awarded a Full-Blue in 1953 and again in 1954.
He left blues in 1956 to return to Scotch and continued his stellar career, winning a club best and fairest and further representation at Big V and all-Australian selection. Peter was also a member of the VAFA side that played in the Olympic demonstration match in November 1956.
