Bec Maddern


Award winning journalist, news reporter and sports presenter


With over 15 years in the industry, Rebecca started her media career in radio as a sports reporter for Triple M Melbourne. She later joined Fox FM and then Nova 100, before landing a lead role in television news at Channel 7 in 2003.
Rebecca was a familiar face at Channel Seven, hosting the 6.00pm news, working as a correspondent on Sunrise and presenting and reporting on a number of sporting events, including the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, The Australian Open and the Melbourne Cup.
This year she joined Channel Nine to become the first female co-host of The AFL Footy Show.
Rebecca grew up in Geelong and moved to Melbourne to complete her Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies at RMIT. A passionate football enthusiast, Rebecca is the number one ticket holder at the Geelong Football Club.


Host: TV sports commentator and former Australian cricketer     Mel Jones


Former Australian cricketer Melanie Jones has carved out a successful career in TV commentary boxes around the world sharing her knowledge and expertise of the game she loves.

Her commentating duties have taken her far and wide, from ICC Cricket World Cups, to the Indian Premier League, the Women’s Ashes in the UK and most recently as a member of Network Ten’s Big Bash League coverage in Australia.

In a distinguished on-field career, Melanie played five Tests and 61 One-Day International matches for Australia (including winning two World Cups in 1997 and 2005) and wore the navy blue for Victoria in 142 games as a top order batsman and brilliant fielder.

Mel continues to play/coach/mentor/run drinks at her Club, Essendon Maribyrnong Park, while working as an International Talent Manager at TLA World Wide.

She is a Board Member of Bowls Australia, barracks for Hawthorn and named her beloved dog after her favourite player, Cyril Rioli.
