Seniors
Uni Blues turned at the half way mark of the season in the four and three wins on the trot. Disappointingly, they couldn't continue their good form on the Trott. The Harry Trott, that is, where Collegians managed to take the four points. The purple outfit was fired up after a couple of big losses and Uni Blues were the unlucky opposition. Veterans Andrew Lowcock, George de Crespigny and Mark Paterson were among the best for the Blues, with captain Lowcock taking home the UCLA t-shirt. Al Neville showed some class in his second game in the black and blue strip with 3 goals and the rangy Pat Smith also kicked a bag of 3. Mick Lewis continued his good form and Paddy Hayes kicked a goal in his first senior game. The loss leaves the Blues 5 and 5 with some important games coming up.

Reserves
It wasn't quite the dominant win of recent weeks for the Mighty Uni Blues Twos but it nevertheless atoned for an early season loss. Collegians beat Blues in round one and Coach Guengerich reminded his players that it was time for pay back. A 5 goal win restored the correct balance in the minds of the Blues, but Collegians will be looking to the finals to have another crack at the Blues team. 10 goal kickers kicked straight for the Blues with Hamish Rankin, Tom Stainforth, Tom Pryde, Al Lyon and Tim Fitzgerald getting multiples. Rankin demonstrated that a couple of weeks in the Clubbies had given him the confidence to play well, while Ben Millard and Tom Girdwood were pillars of strength down back. Tom Calvert showed he has a good pair of hands and Isaac Orr relentlessly attacked and won the ball in the middle.

Club XVIII
It was the Mule show at Koonung Reserve in the Club XVIII game. Tim Muhlebach made a long awaited return from injury and travel, and did not disappoint the assembled crowd. Two pieces of play summarised Mule's day: a clean pick-up, spin and handball in the goal square gifted Tim McKinley a goal, and an attack on the ball followed by a clean and strong bump on an opposition player resulted in another forward foray. Skill and strength. For the second week in a row key forwards kicked bags, the Mule with 5 and McKinley with 4. Mick Thomas also returned to the fold after being overseas and kicked a goal. Innes MacPhail played well down back and Simon Gilbertson, Troy Auld and Diarmid Hayter played well through the middle, as the team got up by 51 points.

Under 19
An rollercoaster year continues for Uni Blues Under 19s as they followed an excellent win with a 1 goal loss to Old Trinity on the wide expanses of Marles. Jack Townley played a great game and kicked 6 but he carried a few too many of his team mates. Tom Fairbairn and Ben McLure continued their good form, while Dan Gumley played a solidly in his first game back. Will Hartnell added two goals but it is back to the drawing board for Coach Matt Embling and his men.
