Seniors
A great beginning to the season with the young Blues overcoming last year's grand finalist. Old players and new blended well with the Mugavin brothers coming out best. Jono Vickers-Willis was rock solid down back. A great spread of goals was had and the win was celebrated in fine style.

They say that you become the hunted when defending a premiership. Today the hunters came out victors with the much-improved Collegians proving too strong at the death. This was despite two last quarter goals by Alex Suvoltos and about 100 possessions between Chris Tate and Dave Gregory.

Club XVIII
Supercoach Granleese had a wealth of new players at his disposal and did not disappoint. The Main Oval, looking picturesque, saw its first Blues' victory for the year. 4 goal hauls from Ollie Lade and Jared Crawford were some highlights, with Lade and premiership player Conor Thomson doing some more damage up the ground.

Under 19s
Many new players for Blues began their love affair with the Crawford Oval today. Unfortunately a win was not to be but good signs were shown. A couple of crucial lapses in concentration saw Beaumaris capitalise and the Blues went down. Llewyn Butler and Jack Maxwell were better players, with Fin Bradley kicking a nice goal.
