Blues Brief Round 5, 2009
Round 4 Review
In a very tight match at Toorak Park the Blues Seniors fell just short against Old Xaverians. While a frustrating result, it is heartening that a win was not far away. The Two's on the other hand had a terrific one point win over Old Xavs, clinging to the smallest of leads in the dying seconds.

Round 5 Preview
For the Seniors the challenge is on this week as they face competition benchmark St Bedes Mentone at Sportscover Arena (AKA Elsternwick Park). It has been a killer start to the year for the boys from Brindisi who have so far conquered all. John Kanis though, has a plan! And with the wide expanses of Elsternwick suiting the fleet-of-foot Blues, you just never know!
The Blues Two's face a St Bedes reserves outfit who have had a reasonable beginning to the season. For the Blues it is a great chance to consolidate some form and also put a break between themselves and the mid-ladder teams.
The Under 19s take on De la out near the Dairy Bell ice cream factory at Waverley Park. It should be a tough game but I reckon the Young Guns are up to it!
The Club XVIIIs are revving up for a premiership reply against Collegians at the Harry Trott Oval at 9:30 am. May Granleese's Gravediggers wreak havoc on the purple plague!
Go Blues!
