Uni Blues Brief Round 3 2009

Blues Brief Round 3, 2009

Round 2 Review

In a bizarre match at Waverly Park the Seniors were blown out of the water in the first quarter as De la piled on ten majors. Fortunately the One's regrouped to kick 12 of the next 15 goals and snatch the game in the last quarter. The Two's and Club XVIII's both had comfortable wins over De la and St Kevin's respectively, while the Unders struggled with inaccuracy against a powerful St Bedes outfit.

Round 3 Preview

This week the Blues host Brighton at the Uni Main Oval. The Tonners are always up for it and with the Seniors showing good signs over the past fortnight it should be a great match! Dr Gunga's Two's looked to be gelling much better last week and will no doubt take it right up to a Brighton outfit who are sitting pretty on top of the ladder.

The Club XVIIIs return home to Crawford Oval this week to take on De la Salle. Granleese's Gravediggers will face their biggest test thus far, facing the fancied De la in a fight to the death!

The Under 19s are also out on the Crawf this week taking on Trinity. Like the Blues, Trinity have yet to trouble the scorers and we hope they cannot get there this week!

Go Blues!

From the role of President down, Bob has held just about every position at the Blues and has often had to juggle several at once (just last year Bob was straining hamstrings while umpiring the clubbies!).
