1999 Reserves Reunited

An empty pub and a startled barman greeted the remnants of the 1999 Reserves Team as they entered Naughtons last Saturday 23rd May for the 10 year premiership reunion.  A great turnout saw about a dozen blokes in attendance, including Johhny Huddart on his way to his own Bucks day.  What better way to start that important day?
Mick Robin dragged himself away from the sandy beaches and sunny shores of Sorrento, and Stracky brought along photos from the day and evening celebrations, along with an enlarged team photo.  Special thanks to Cam Roydhouse and Leigh Tweedle for putting money behind the bar despite being unable to attend due to being overseas.  Joe Sturrock was particularly pleased with not having to put his hand in his own pocket for the whole day.
Supercoach Pat Mackey was on hand to regale all with stories ofhis tactics on the day, and to share a bit of his unique football philosophy.  After a hearty lunch, the boys headed over the watch the seniors take on against Marcellin and the famous afternoon tea.  Much talk surrounded the Heinz sausage rolls and whether they eclipsed the baking of the 1999 afternoon tea king, Sean Russell.
Thanks to all those who helped organize the day and we look forward to further reunions.
