The Masters Returns - Get Swinging

The first social event on the Uni Blues calendar for 2012 will be the third instalment of the annual Blue Bloods golf tournament, the Blue Bloods Masters

Full details are set to be released shortly but the date and location are now confirmed.  After two years at Thirteenth Beach (where Joe Sturrock and Roger Collins triumphed in 2010 and 2011 respectively), this year the event moves to the Mornington Peninsula and will be held at Eagle Ridge Golf Club on Sunday, 26 February.

1981 Blues Return to Pavvy

A healthy gathering of former Blues stars were on hand at Uni Oval for the club's recent game against Collegians.  The gathering of the 1981 B-Grade Premiership team, co-ordinated by Roger Curnow, saw the likes of former coach Sid Myers, Mark "Nails" Tyquin and Don MacInnes swapping tales beneath the Ormond clocktower.

Former Blues in Solomons Volleyball Shock

A contingent of ex-Blues including former captain and best and fairest Richard Furphy, Darryl Gust, Greg Taylor and Justin Jamieson headed to the Solomon Islands over the recent Queens Birthday Weekend to take on one of the local village teams.

Blue Bloods Masters come back swinging

As the wind was blowing Gerry Westmore off the first tee you could have been mistaken for thinking the Masters had been transported to Elsternwick Park in September with a gale blowing down the ground.  Although the forecast rain had stayed away, the windy conditions at 13th Beach made things very tricky indeed and would require a outstanding round to take out the Masters.
