2015 Presentation Night Awards

Uni Blues held a very successful presentation night at the new function rooms at Port Melbourne Football Ground on Friday, 25th September.

Ross Young capped off another remarkable year at Blues by winning his third C.W. McLeod Trophy for best and fairest in the Seniors, closely followed by Marshall Rippon who finished the season full of running.

Other major awards went to Tommy Girdwood also collecting his third Reserves B&F and the Thirds B&F went to Sam Briggs. In the Juniors, Jacob Jess took out the B&F for the Unders and the Colts award was won by Nick Buttolph.

The major club awards saw the awarding of the prestigious Chris Brown Award for Best Clubman, for the second time, to Dave Phefley, whilst the Ted McMamara Award for Best Team Player being awarded to Hugh Vickers-Willis.

Chris Reid was awarded Life Membership of the Melbourne University Football Club for his off field service over a number years in many assistant coaching roles including taking the reins in 2013 following a mid-year retirement of the senior coach.
